We are very excited to be the administrators at Harmony Science Academy – Fort Worth! Our campus community is blessed with many dedicated teachers and staff, caring and involved parents, and brilliant students. We are certain that we will continue to grow and thrive as the years pass.
Our campus vision is:
At Harmony Science Academy – Fort Worth, we are committed to developing and institutionalizing data-driven instruction using small groups, where:
- Students have differentiated lesson plans based on their various data points created throughout the year, and the students know their goals and hold themselves accountable for their improved learning.
- Teachers collaborate with other staff members, students, and parents about the students’ progress and how data is used within the classroom in order to have clear expectations and understanding of the needs and goals of students in creating small group, whole group, and independent instruction.
- The school is organized to have consistency among all classrooms in terms of how data is used to drive instruction for all students.
Principal – Katelyn Meck
My educational background includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. I hold a 4th through 8th grade generalist and ESL teaching certificates, as well as a Principal certificate. This is my fourth year as principal of this campus and my seventh year as principal overall. I have been a part of the Harmony family for over 10 years. Not only am I a Harmony employee, I am also a Harmony parent. My daughter, Karleigh, is in fifth grade at HSA. She loves art and wants to pursue a degree in digital animation after high school. This is the same ambition I strive to instill in all of our Harmony students. My husband, Karleigh, and I also have two dogs, Critter and Shadow.
Dean of Academics – Brian Ragsdale
I started my career with Harmony in 2007 and returned in 2010 after two years with a public ISD. Some of the positions I’ve held at Harmony include teaching Special Education, ESL, and Dyslexia classes to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. On top of my role as Dean of Academics, my experience in administration includes Special Education Coordinator, Operations/Finance Manager, and Testing Coordinator.
It amazes me to see the growth and progress Harmony has made in the time that I have been here. Knowing where we were a decade ago and how far we have come assures me that we will continue to strive for success and reach our goals. Our future is bright and our goals are attainable with the dedicated staff we have on our campus.
In addition to being a Harmony staff member, I am also a proud Harmony parent. I choose to bring my daughter to Harmony for the exceptional teachers and the diverse culture. I am thankful that I have found a school with amazing teachers and students!
Dean of Students – Stephanie Wynn
I earned my BFA from Tarleton State University in 2006, and then a Masters in Curriculum in instruction in 2013 also from TSU. Education is a family business, of sorts, my Mom is a SPED Coordinator and my Dad a Math teacher. I enjoy interacting with students and helping them solve problems. I began my teaching career in Copperas Cove, Texas where I taught Theater Arts, I then moved to the metroplex and began my Harmony journey. Harmony has helped me to grow as an educator. I am in my 9th year with this wonderful organization and look forward to many more years. I am married and have two boys a 19 year old and a 5 year old. We have 3 dogs, 17 chickens, and lots of fish. My favorite thing to do is travel, so I am rarely home during any breaks.
We look forward to many years of continued success and partnerships with our Harmony families and the community!
Sincerely,
Administration
