Requirements: Students need to tryout for this club. Parents will not be required to pay until student(s) make the team.
Meetings: Mondays
Grade Level: 2nd grade only
Purpose: UIL competition club for storytelling. Students will work on skills necessary to compete in the spring UIL competition.

Purpose: Designed to teach students how to pick any topic and write about what they ready in and organized manner.

Chess Puzzle Club

Requirements: Students need to tryout for this club. Parents will not be required to pay until student(s) make the team.
Meetings: Thursday
Grade Level: 2nd Grade Only
Purpose: Chess puzzle competition is very different from tournament chess play. Students will learn chess using paper and pencil that includes a series of chess boards with pieces in particular positions.
A chess puzzle event provides an avenue for chess participation that does not require the time and resources of actual tournament play.
